Why do Girls wear panties? My friends and I were discussing the need for panties a week ago. I mean yes we understand that men have to wear under garments for oh so many reasons but why do girls? That time of the month is an exception, but seriously is the reason behind panties lost on me (and B) for some reason? If you are aware of its benefits please enlighten us.
One of my answers was that it was because sometimes when you're running to the bathroom a tiny droplet may beat you to it. Therefore, a material to hold all those droplets is in need.
While trying to find the answer online, I came across the following link which I found to be quite informative:

So apparently another reason is that it's fun! Why DO men like to wear womens underwear? Do men in Kuwait even wear women's underwear? Do they sneak into the laundry room when the maid isn't looking and try on their sisters panties?
I say we all unite together against this uncalled for fad. Let us raise our panties over our heads and say NO! We will fight this with every resource (or lack of) we have. Let's go commando!

Dodo + DR: I doubt that panties are any more hygienic than clothes. I suppose if both are washed daily and you wear a fresh pair of pants/skirts/shorts every day then it won't be a problem.
and what if pants were fitted with a pad instead of going through the hassle of wearing panties. Wouldn't that be much easier?
Boo: Well men need to keep their genitalia in place. Therefore, underwear secures it. I don't think a man in a thong is sexy.:I sorry.

Girls wear pants, it makes if more exciting for us guys. I did try to wear female pants once, my gf actually fooled me into wearing her thong.. thanx god it only got up to my thighs.. lol then i ripped them !!
